The Selangor FC under-20 (U20) squad ended the 2024 Piala Presiden tournament as runners-up for this season after losing on aggregate in the second leg of the Finals at the Majlis Bandaraya Pasir Gudang Stadium against Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) FC III.

The second match of the Finals last Wednesday was very thrilling. Both teams exchanged attacks from the beginning until the final whistle to look for additional goals to be crowned Champions. However, the match ended with a result of 0-0, thus making Johor DT FC III the 2024 President's Cup Champions with an aggregate of 2-1.

Despite not lifting the championship trophy, Firdaus Tan Aziz, coach of the Selangor U20 squad, expressed immense pride in his players' effort and commitment, "We started the match positively, and I am truly proud of the dedication and hard work the players showed. They gave everything they had, and that’s something I can certainly take as a positive part of this final match. While we weren’t able to find the back of the net, reaching this stage of the competition is a significant achievement in itself. The players showed remarkable determination, and I’m proud of the performance they put in."
